On Friday night, there was another med event and as usual, it was at a club. The event was "The Red Party", it was held to raise money for HIV. We were all meant to wear red, except major fail! I have NOTHING red in my wardrobe! =O So the night before, I went last minute shopping ^.^ Finally at 8:30 pm, prince charming (ok actually... *my dress* shows up!!) It's a pretty purply shiny dress that I got for $72. The original price was $279! *sense of accomplishment!!!* Totally proves my Asianess!! :D
But uhh... I figured that the purply dress was too fancy so I wore another one instead XD
Today, there was a badminton competition for Australian Chinese Medical Association. I partnered with a friend who's totally prooo!! ^.^ So I did my usual job aka stand in front of the net and do nothing =P was awesome! After me being totally considerate and making him exercise *cough cough*, we actually won! :D It was the first time that I played badminton in 2 months and it was amazing!
Playing badminton today reminded me of how I felt playing badminton in Melbourne - that rush of excitement, that energy and all the laughter. I love badminton, but more so, it's the awesome people that make it really fun. I still remember the times in Melb where we played badminton until 1 am, we just keep on going and going and don't want to stop, taking breaks and chatting to people in between, playing and joking around on court....it was the best thing ever! During the past two years when I played in Adelaide, it just hasn't felt the same, it wasn't as fun or exciting. Today, somehow, I manage to get that feeling back. Thanks JLo! =)
After badminton, I went out for a walk again, partially because I always enjoy these walks. But also, I needed to clear my head. Here are some beautiful pictures of the vineyard at sunset today!
